Good afternoon caregivers of Arnold H. McLeod School,

This is the weekly voicemail message for Thursday September 21st:

Please note that there will be no school tomorrow Friday September 22nd due to staff professional learning.

Library Use Agreements were sent home this week.  Please sign and return this form to your child’s teacher.  Your child cannot borrow books until this form has been signed and returned.  This new policy is a result of a large increase in damage and loss of books.

Picture day will be next week on Friday September 29th

Arnold H. McLeod School will observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation by asking our school population to wear orange on Thursday September 28th as picture day will be on Friday.  This day recognizes the harm done to generations of children by the Indian Residential Schools and is an affirmation of our commitment to ensure that every child matters.

There will also be no school on Monday October 2nd as it is the day honoring the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

The tentative opening date for the cafeteria hot lunch program is Tuesday October 3rd. Menus and information will be sent home soon.  All ordering will be done online. All meals will be eaten in classrooms as we no longer have cafeteria space. Volunteers are needed daily 11:50 am until 12:50 pm to assist with the delivery and clean up of meals.  If you wish to volunteer for one, two or even 5 days, please contact Mrs. MacNeill at 506-856-3475.

That’s all for this week.  Thanks for listening and have a great weekend.
