Good afternoon caregivers of Arnold H. McLeod School,
This is the weekly voicemail message for Friday October 25th:
Please note that there will be no school on Friday November 1st due to parent-teacher interviews and professional learning for teachers.
Our first PSSC meeting will be on Monday, October 28th at 6:30pm. There are a few positions up for grabs this year such as Chair and secretary. If you have any questions or would like to express interest, please contact Mrs. Johnston. If you are interested but unable to attend Monday, please reach out as well.
A change this year is that students will be permitted to wear Halloween costumes on Thursday, October 31st. Please note that students are not permitted to bring the following items: masks (nothing covering their face), props/accessories, inflatable costumes and candy. And please note that the school is not responsible if the costumes get dirty, damaged or lost.
Students will participate in a Halloween themed positive learning celebration in the afternoon.
Picture retakes will take place on Monday, November 4th.
The first transition to kindergarten event will take place on Monday, November 18th at 4:00pm in the Art Room. This adult presentation is for caregivers only who have a child starting Kindergarten in the fall of 2025.
Any student slated to begin Kindergarten in the fall of 2025 should now be registered for school. These children were born in 2020.
Thank you to all the volunteers who have come forward to make our hot lunch program and breakfast program such a success. We appreciate you!
That is all for this week. Thanks for reading and have a great weekend.
