Here is the weekly message for February 1, 2026: 

French Immersion Registration 
Families interested in enrolling their children in Early French Immersion (Grade 1 entry) or Late French Immersion (Grade 6 entry) for the 2026/2027 school year can find more information on the Anglophone East School District website and register here. Registration is open until February 6, 2026. If you require a paper copy of the registration form, please reach out to your child’s teacher.  

Message from the Home & School Association 
Staff Appreciation Week is coming up on February 9–13! 

How Families Can Help: 

• Donations can be made by sending an e-transfer to arnoldhmcleodhomeandschool@gmail.com. Please write “Staff Appreciation Fund Donation” in the notes section of the e-transfer.  
• Our Home & School Committee will take care of the rest. They will also inform you of what was done for teachers during the week.  
• Monetary donations are not an obligation. Instead of money donations, we also encourage you to have your children make cards for the teachers instead. A special note, drawing, or saying goes a long way in the hearts of our hard-working teachers.

Pre-K Visit

We will be holding our first visit for our Pre-K students on Thursday, February 19th at 3:30pm. The purpose of this first visit is to provide an opportunity for our future students to meet teachers and peers; begin fostering positive relationships; and, to introduce children to some of the activities/routines/expectations of a kindergarten student. The visit is also an opportunity to begin building positive relationships with our families. 

Lunch Program

Chess Club for grade 4 in Mr. D’s classroom @ lunch recess 

Thursday (Day 5): 

Stars & Plants: First Place vs. Fourth Place   

Chess Club for grade 5 in Mr. D’s classroom @ lunch recess 

Friday (Day 1): 

Stars & Planets: Second place vs Third Place 

*The Championship for Stars & Planets will take place on Tuesday, Feb 10th.
Any student who played on a team is welcome to come watch and cheer!
