Here is the weekly message for May 24, 2026: 

 🍿 Popcorn Sale! 🍿 

Home & School is excited to offer 4 more popcorn sales. It will be happening every Thursday for the remainder of the school year. (May 28, June 4, June 11, June 18)

For just $2.00 per bag, students can enjoy a tasty treat that will be delivered directly to classrooms.

For next week all orders ON SCHOOL CASH by Wednesday, May 27th at 5pm.

Family Spring Fling Dance

AHM’s Family Spring Fling Dance is on Friday, May 29th from 6:00 – 7:30pm! This is a family event to help us raise money for AHM’s Fuel the Fun Campaign to replace our current playground. Tickets must be purchased by Tuesday, May 26^th as there are limited spots.

Important Details:
– Log into school cash online, fill out the form and pay $20 for your family ticket.
– The only footwear allowed in the gym is socks, so please be prepared!
– There will be a canteen, a 50/50 draw and a prize wheel which will be accepting cash only.
– There will be tables and chairs set up for kids to take a break and eat their snacks and for parents to relax while their children dance the evening away.
– Parents are responsible for their children at all times.

Service Project for May – Thank you cards

This month students will be creating thank you cards for our volunteers.

Major Road Construction

Please note that the City of Moncton has a major road construction project affecting Elmwood Dr from Lewisville Rd to Massey Ave. This is scheduled from May 19^th until November 2026.  We can expect bussing delays-morning arrival and getting home. They will not be changing routes or anything-just noting the likelihood of delays.

 
Learning Habit Focus: Responsibility

This month at AHM, our learning habit focus is Responsibility. Students will work on taking care of their belongings and school property. Working hard to complete their work on time. Finally, accepting responsibility for their actions and managing their own behaviors.

PBIS Eating Time Blitz
We had an assembly to kick off our new Blitz. Ove the next four weeks we will be focusing on eating time and our expectations during recess and lunch eating breaks. We appreciate the support you are giving your child at home by doing the following:

• Asking your child what they are learning about eating time expectations
• Encouraging them to explain what “respectful” looks like at school
• Praising your child when they talk about following expectations

Students are earning lots of tickets for following hallway, playground and now eating time expectations and we will celebrate school-wide once we reach our goal!

Summer Library Reading Club (TD SRC)

There is a free Reading club being offered for kids of all ages at some of our public libraries and online access as well. For more information check out the website online:

Jump Rope for Heart Fundraiser

The fundraiser ended on Friday, May 22^nd. We would accept the envelopes on Monday, May 25^th if your child forgot to bring it on Friday. Thank you for supporting the fundraiser and for all the donations.
