Hello AHM Families, 

Here is the weekly message for April 19th, 2026: 

• Service Project for April – Community Clean Up:
• This week students will clean up garbage around the school. Earth Day is on Wednesday, April 22^nd so this project is perfect timing.
• 
  Learning Habit Focus: Organization
  
  This month at AHM, our learning habit focus is Organization. Organization refers to a student’s ability to manage their materials, time, and tasks in a structured and efficient way to support their learning. Families can support this habit by helping their child establish consistent routines, maintain an organized workspace, and use tools such as checklists or planners to stay on track.

PBIS Outdoor Blitz
We continue to run our Positive Outdoor Behavior and appreciate the support you are giving your child at home by doing the following:

• Asking your child what they are learning about outdoor behavior
• Encouraging them to explain what “safe” and “respectful” looks like at school
• Praising your child when they talk about following expectations

Students are earning lots of tickets and we will celebrate school-wide once we reach our goal!

AHM Book Fair

Will run this week from April 20-24. Information was sent home along with your child’s class shopping day. Family and Friends are welcome on Wednesday, April 22^nd from 2:30-6:30

Lost and Found Items

The bins are overflowing with items. A table will be set up in the hallway by the office on Wednesday, April 22^nd from 3:00-6:30 for families to locate any missing clothing before it gets donated.

• Night of the Arts-Front Row Seating Draw
• Information about the Front Row Seating draw for Night of the Arts was sent home. If interested, please return the tickets and money. The draw will take place on Thursday, April 23^rd.

• Change of Season
• With the season of Spring comes more wet weather which means the playground is wet and muddy. It would be a good idea to send your child with an extra set of clothes, especially socks.
• Trivia Night
• Would you like to help AHM reach its fundraising goal for new playground equipment?  AHM’s Home and School Committee is hosting  a second Trivia Night at Cheers Beverage Room! You can invite anyone over the age of 19: your friends, parents, co-workers, neighbours – anyone you think is clever enough to be on your team! Delicious food and drinks can be purchased at the event. There will be prizes!

• This is an adults only event (19+)
• Date/Time: April 26^th at 6:00pm
• Location: Cheers Beverage Room (63 Brandon Street, Moncton NB)
• Cost: $15 a person (paid on school cash online, see link below)
• Team: You will have the option to add your team name on the school cash online form. We will make teams with the remaining people who do not list team members. It’ll be a great way to make new friends! 
• Contact info: We ask that you put your phone number in the school cash online form in case we need to contact you for clarification on your team members.
