Good afternoon caregivers of Arnold H. McLeod School,

This is the weekly voicemail message for Friday March 22nd

Please note that there will be no school on Monday March 25th due to teacher professional learning and again on Friday March 29th and Monday April 1st due to the Easter weekend.

On Monday April 8th, there will be a shortened instructional day as decided by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development due to the solar eclipse. As soon as we have dismissal times, we will communicate them with you.

Report cards will be sent home to all students on Thursday April 11th.  Please check your child’s backpack for the envelope.

Parent-Teacher Interviews or Student-Led Conferences will be held on Monday April 15th during the morning and again after school on Thursday April 18th until 6:30 pm. Therefore, there will be no school for students on Monday April 15th.  Please keep an eye out for communication from your child’s teacher about these important meetings.

The Granola Bar Domino Run has been postponed until further notice.  We have collected approximately 350 boxes as a staff and student population so far.  The last two years the run had approximately 860 boxes and it was a tremendous amount of fun.  Please consider sending in a box or two if you are able.

Thank you to the three volunteers who help weekly with the Breakfast Club meals. We are feeding breakfast to over 150 students daily.

We also have approximately 20 volunteers who help with our subsidized lunch program. With up to 225 students receiving meals daily, we really count on these adults to deliver the food. If you would like to volunteer, or have not hear back after putting in an application, please reach out directly to Mrs. MacNeill at angela.macneill@nbed.nb.ca or call the school at 506-856-3475.

We are once again asking families who pick up students at the K-2 1:45 pm dismissal to please leave the playground as it is used for Phys Ed classes, especially now that the field is so muddy. Thanks for your cooperation.

That’s all for this week.  Thanks for reading.  Have a great weekend.
