Hello caregivers of Arnold H. McLeod School,

This is a special voicemail message for Monday, September 1st

We can’t wait to have our students back!

School begins tomorrow on Tuesday, September 2nd with a staggered entry for kindergarten students. Information regarding the staggered entry was sent separately to all K families. Grades 1 through 5 will be attending school all week. Students may enter the building beginning at 8:15 am. Parents are welcome to enter the building to accompany their child to class and meet the teacher.  We kindly ask that parents leave the school by 8:30 so that the school day may begin. Please check your emails for communication from your child’s homeroom teacher if you haven’t already done so.

For this school year, students enter the building at 8:25am. Supervision begins at 8 am for our Kiss and Drop and the playground. Please note that Rosedale is not a supervised drop-off area, use it at your own choice.  There will be no playground supervision before 8 am or after 8:25 am. On rainy days all students will enter the building via the front doors of the school upon arrival.

Don’t forget to send your child to school with a labelled water bottle as our water fountains are refill only stations.

Don’t forget to pack your child a lunch and a snack.  We are pleased to announce that our lunch subsidy pilot program will continue this year. The cafeteria will open on September 8th and more information such as the menu will be sent to families as soon as it is available. The Breakfast Club will begin on the first day back.

That’s all for now.  Thanks for reading and we hope you had a great long weekend.
