Welcome to a new school year at Arnold H. McLeod School! Whether your family is returning to AHM or joining us for the first time, we are excited to partner with you as we begin another year of learning, growth, and connection.

Arnold H. McLeod is a vibrant K-5 school community where every student is known, valued, and supported. Our dedicated staff work together to create a safe, caring, and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to take risks, build confidence, and achieve their personal best. We believe that strong relationships are the foundation of student success and that children thrive when families and schools work together.

At AHM, our Positive Behaviour Intervention and Supports (PBIS) framework helps guide our work each day by establishing clear expectations throughout our building and outside. Through our school-wide expectations, we teach and celebrate behaviours that help everyone contribute to a positive learning environment.

These expectations help foster a culture where students feel a sense of belonging, develop strong character, and learn the skills needed to be successful both in and beyond the classroom.

Throughout the year, students will have opportunities to participate in a wide variety of academic, leadership, wellness, arts, and extracurricular activities. We are committed to providing engaging learning experiences that challenge students, celebrate individual strengths, and help every child discover their potential.

We are fortunate to have the support of an active Home & School Association and Parent School Support Committee. Their partnership enriches our school community and helps create meaningful opportunities for students and families. This committee is also integral in supporting our Fuel The Fun Playground Campaign through the planning and running of amazing events throughout the year.

Open communication and collaboration are important to us. We encourage families to reach out, ask questions, share ideas, and connect with our school throughout the year. Together, we can ensure that every child feels supported, confident, and excited to learn.
