Hello AHM Families, 

Here is the weekly message for March 20, 2026: 

Service Project for March – Granola Bar Run

We are excited to host our annual AHM Granola Bar Run on April 9th, with special guest Superintendent Mr. MacLean joining us!

Students are invited to donate boxes of granola bars, which will be collected and donated to Feed NB, an organization that supports many students and families in our community.

This is a wonderful initiative that AHM has proudly hosted for several years, and it is always a big hit with our students!

To add a little friendly competition, the K–2 class and the 3–5 class that collect the most granola bar boxes will each win a pizza party for their class.

Please note:
When sending granola bars, please avoid the extra-value (larger) boxes, as they do not fly as well during the run as the regular-sized boxes.

Learning Habit Focus: Initiative
This month at AHM, our learning habit focus is Initiative. Initiative means students take responsibility for their learning by getting started on tasks independently, asking questions when they need help, and looking for ways to go above and beyond. We encourage students to try their best, stay curious, and take pride in their work both at school and at home.

PBIS Hallway Blitz
We are also continuing to run our Positive Hallway Behavior and appreciate the support you are giving your child at home by doing the following: 

• Asking your child what they are learning about hallway behaviour
• Encouraging them to explain what “safe” and “respectful” looks like at school
• Praising your child when they talk about following expectations 

Students are earning lots of tickets and we will celebrate school-wide once we reach our goal! 

Arnold H McLeod Chocolate Bar Bingo and Pizza Night

We hope you will join us for AHM’s Chocolate Bar Bingo and Pizza Night on Thursday, March 26th at 6:00pm! Proceeds of this event will go towards AHM’s Fuel the Fun Campaign to replace our current playground.

Parent-Teacher Interviews or Student-Led Conferences will be held on Wednesday, April 1 after school until 6:30 pm and again the following day on April 2nd in the morning.  Therefore, there will be no school for students on Thursday, April 2nd.  Please keep an eye out for communication from your child’s teacher about these important meetings. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions.

March 26 – Family Chocolate Bar Bingo at 6pm
April 30 – Out of Bounds online application forms close
April 1 and April 2 – Parent-Teacher Interviews/Student-Led Conferences
April 2 – NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS
April 3 and April 6 – No School as it is Easter Weekend 
April 12 – Trivia Night #2 at Cheers (save the date)
