Good afternoon caregivers of Arnold H. McLeod School,
This is the weekly voicemail message for Friday November 10th:
Please note that there will be no school on Monday November 13th due to the Remembrance Day holiday.
Arnold H. McLeod School will begin Kindness Month starting on Tuesday November 14th. There will be writing activities and daily announcements with a focus on being kind to others. Ask your child what they have been doing!
We are also continuing our service project for the month of November in support of Harvest House. We will be collecting new adult sized hats, mittens, and socks to donate to this charitable organization. We are accepting donations up until the end of the month.
The NB Student Wellness and Education Survey is now active. This is for all families with a child in K-5. By completing this survey, you are helping decision makers better understand the needs and strengths of our students in our community. Please see the information sent home. The survey can be completed online using the QR code provided on the handout or the website. You will need the survey code that is also on the handout.
Just a reminder that select pre-K parents have EYE-DA appointments on Wednesday November 15th.
We need your help!! On a very regular basis, students are soaping the mirrors in the washrooms. In the Grades 2-5 boy’s washroom, the boys are wetting toilet paper and throwing it on the ceiling. Changes are to be expected with an increased student population, but this is very disrespectful and wasteful. It is also creating a lot of unnecessary work and cost for the school. Please speak to your children about the seriousness of this matter.
That’s all for this week. Thanks for reading and have a great weekend.
