Good afternoon caregivers of Arnold H. McLeod School,
This is the weekly voicemail message for Friday April 21st:
Arnold H. McLeod will be hosting its twelfth annual Night of the Arts celebration on Thursday May 4th from 6:00pm until 8:00 pm. The theme of this year’s event is “A Journey Around the World”. In lieu of admission to the Night of the Arts we are asking for a donation to the AHM Breakfast Program. Items such as cereal bars, jam, non-sugar cereal and Cheez Whiz would be very much appreciated. You will also have the opportunity to purchase any piece of art on display with a donation of your choice to the AHM Arts Fund. The Home and School will also be selling baked goods before and after the show. We hope to see you there.
We are very excited to announce that Fred Fox, Terry Fox’s brother, will be visiting AHM on Thursday April 27th for a special assembly with the Grade 3-5 classes.
EYE-DA Testing will be taking place on Friday April 28th for our pre-K students. These students will be going to school in the fall of 2023. The testing takes place at Riverview Middle School. If you have not received an appointment time, please contact the school at 506-856-3475.
The Grade 5 classes have a special project for their final year at AHM. They will be getting class shirts from DNA Swag, Inc. They have put together a small online pop-up shop on the Home and School Facebook page. Please email Lisa-Mae for the link or any questions at lisamae.macdonald@gmail.com. Please note this is NOT put on by the school or by the Home and School Association. It is being organized by the Grade 5 class parents. It is also not a fundraiser.
Our next Scholastic Book Fair, sponsored by the Home and School, is scheduled for Monday, April 24- 28th. Stay tuned for more details.
